Welcome to Virtual Church

Kenton Baptist Church

Sunday 4th July

"I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart,

in the company of the upright, in the congregation."

Psalm 111:1

Our Call to Worship reminds us that praise is the item of clothing that best suits those who follow God!  We worship Him - acknowledge his worth - with every part of our lives, with every skill we possess, with every ounce of energy He gives us.  Our worship characterises our daily work as much as our times in Church.  Yet there is something special about coming together to recognise the greatness, the splendour and the majesty of our God.  He is holy, yet He calls us to come into His presence with our praise and thanksgiving.

Almighty God, we come today to celebrate your holy presence in our lives and in our Church.  Our desire is that you will grow in us an increasing passion to know you as the One who is holy - set apart and utterly different from us - yet who reaches out to us in love and in mercy.  We acknowledge this morning that you are our Lord, the King who reigns in our lives, in our Church and in our world.  We honour you with our worship

Holy, Holy, Holy

(Agnus Dei)

Beautiful  Beyond Description

(I Stand in Awe)

Father thank you that you are a holy God, One who is indeed 'too marvellous for words'.  Yet you are generous enough to invite us to meet you, to approach your holiness and to experience your love.  Thank you that you have made a way for us to know you through the Lord Jesus Christ.  Help us as we hear your word this morning to have our hearts open for you to continue your work of transformation in our lives.  Please change us continually 'from one degree of glory to another' as your word says.  Amen.
