Welcome to Kenton Baptist Church!
KBC is a safe place to explore your faith and discover God’s love. We are a group of Bible believing Christians who meet together to worship God and serve our community. Jesus Christ has shown us how much God loves us -
Our desire is to know God more and to help everyone discover how amazing He is!
When we truly acknowledge that God is ultimately in control, this can bring us into a freedom that we have never known before. He knows us, He understands us and wants what is best for us. His love never fails.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3.16.)
Jesus is the One who chose to give His Life to show us God's love, and He is still the only One who can bring us into God's family and free us from our sins when we put our trust in Him. At KBC we proclaim Jesus as Saviour, Healer, Redeemer, Lord and Coming King.
Jesus said: "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No-one comes to the Father except through me."
(John 14.6 The Bible)
The Bible tells us there is only one God who holds power over all things and that He loves us unconditionally. It says that we can come to Him just as we are, but the only way to know Him and to experience His love, peace and forgiveness is through the person of Jesus Christ.
The Scriptures clearly, adamantly and fiercely claim that it is only through trusting in Jesus that we can have our sins forgiven, be saved and gain eternal life and God's forgiveness.
John 3.16-17 NLT - The Bible:
"For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him."
