Welcome to Virtual Church

Kenton Baptist Church

Sunday 24th January

A close encounter with God touches our hearts and lives in a way that nothing else can. It brings a realisation of who He is and where we stand before Him. We read about such things in the Bible, but it doesn't stop there! This holy God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth loves us, is real and is still changing hearts and lives today.

He is the One who chose to send His only Son Jesus, to die in our place, be raised to life again and rescue us from the effects of our sin. This is the only way we can receive the forgiveness and peace that God wants us to have. An encounter like this fills us with joy, sets our hearts on fire and causes our spirits to overflow with love and gratitude.

Today we come to praise God for His love to us, to declare His power, His holiness, His goodness, His majesty and to lift up the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above all names - our Saviour.

Lord Jesus, we come to worship You now in Spirit and Truth! Thank-you the Bible tells us that You are the same, yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8) and that there is healing, restoration, forgiveness and strength in Your name. Thank-you that when we speak Your name mountains move, chains are loosed and darkness flees. * Song: When I speak Your name  Clark / Kuehn

We thank You, we honour You with our hearts, we come to give You all the glory and to worship You in the splendour of Your holiness.
