Welcome to Virtual Church
Kenton Baptist Church
Sunday 15th August 2021
Our 'Call to Worship' today encourages us to think of all that God has done for us and this brings us to realise how faithful, just, loving and forgiving He is towards us.
Psalm 86 echoes this and tells us that there is no-one like our God and that no deeds can be compared to His. He is merciful, gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love - therefore all the nations He has made will come and worship before Him and glorify His name - for He is great and does marvellous things. The writer says: 'You alone are God.' (Psalm 86:9-10)
So let's lay aside everything that might hinder us this morning and glorify the One who is worthy of all our praise.

This is Amazing Grace

Our prayers today
are led by Winston
Let us also pray for those we know of personally who are in need at this time
Our Bible Readings are taken from 1Cor 9:24-27; Heb 12:1,2;
Gal 5:7; 2Tim 4:6-8;
Eph 6:10-13 ESV
and are read by Hawa.
Father, we thank You for Jesus and today, as we come once again to the foot of the cross, we bow our hearts in worship and adoration; we are humbled by Your kindness and mercy. Our debt is paid in full - no condemnation, no guilt or shame, sin has no hold on us and death has lost its sting!
This is real love - not that we first loved God, but that God loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins and bring us forgiveness. (1John 4.10) We are forever grateful for God's love.

Prayer:
Father, thank You that Your Word speaks right into the situations we often find ourselves in and brings help and direction into our lives. We're waiting in expectation for You to speak to us - let us hear Your voice today and respond in obedience. Have Your way in us. Amen.

Communion
For the next part of the service, we invite you to have bread and wine ready to take part in this act of remembrance.
Jesus has made the way for us to know God and belong to His family. He invites all who know and love Him to the Communion table.
We share Communion as together we make room for Jesus to be the Lord of our lives.
