Welcome to Virtual Church

Sunday 10th January

 Kenton Baptist Church

Making the decision to praise God for who He is, whatever the circumstances is something that opens us up in faith and brings joy to our hearts. Our focus goes to the One who is in control, all-powerful and all-knowing... the One who says, "I am with you, do not fear!"

When we choose to focus on Him, though we may feel tired and weak, our faith rises, our spirit soars and our strength is renewed. (Isaiah 40:31)

So today, let's declare our praises to the One who is in control and lift high the mighty name of Jesus: He is the 'Peace in our troubled sea,' so we need not fear. Let's sing in the middle of the storm and raise a 'Hallelujah!' to the God of our salvation for He is with us in all circumstances and has made our eternity secure in Jesus.

Father, we worship You! Who is God besides You and where would we be without Your love? Lord Jesus, we are so grateful for Your victory on the cross, for dying in our place and taking the punishment so that we can be forgiven. Thank-you that the power of sin is broken over our lives because You chose to pour out Your great love on us.

We bow before You, Lord - we surrender to the Name above all names and come into Your presence to worship You, our Saviour, Messiah, Redeemer and King of Kings.

Prayer: Lord, we pray that as we listen to Your Word today, that it will fall on good ground. Don't let it be stolen from us, but let it be watered by Your Holy Spirit. Father, cause us to learn more about You so that we can live for Your glory. Come, Holy Spirit, prepare our hearts to receive what you want to say to us today and breathe life into us again. Amen.
