This morning we thank God for intervening in a world full of sin by sending Jesus as His salvation plan for us.  The angel's message to the shepherds - "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth PEACE to those on whom His favour rests' is the same to us. We are favoured by God's kindness, mercy and grace! His plan offers us forgiveness for our sins and PEACE with Him when we trust in Jesus. How good it is to be 'favoured' by the Living God and to know the security of His amazing love!

We may be in a position today where we feel sad, anxious or upset and we don't feel peaceful, but our first song says: 'Every chain will break, as broken hearts declare His praise'. When we declare the truth of God over our lives and circumstances, He meets with us where we are, and when we draw near to Him, He draws near to us. Let's give God all the praise and glory He deserves - He loves us with a fierce, everlasting love!

Father God, we come into Your presence through the precious blood of Jesus to worship You in Spirit and Truth - to thank You for who You are and what You have done. Lord Jesus, You are the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and then End. All the glory belongs to You. Holy Spirit, we pray You will bring a special anointing upon us and that as we come to the throne of Grace today, we will know God's touch upon our lives in a new way.

Prayer: Lord we pray that as we listen to Your Word today, that it will fall on good ground. Don't let it get smothered, ignored or stolen from us, but let it be watered by Your Holy Spirit and bear fruit in our lives for Your glory and honour. Come, Holy Spirit and prepare our hearts to receive what You want to say to us today. Amen.
