Welcome to Virtual Church
Kenton Baptist Church
Sunday 31st May

Jesus said that when the Holy Spirit came, He would convict the world of its sin, of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. It is the Holy Spirit who works in our lives to bring us to the realisation of how much we need God's love, mercy and forgiveness. It's the Holy Spirit who ignites our desire for more of God and it's the Holy Spirit who gives us power and boldness to stand up for the truth.
Last week we heard that God will not put out a faintly burning wick - His Holy Spirit wants to fan us into flame so that our hearts can be ablaze with His love. So as we declare the goodness of God, let us also say 'Come Holy Spirit - breathe on us - search our hearts - fall on us today - convict us - renew us - revive us and light the fire within us again!'

Send the Fire

Intercessory Prayer
led by Pastor Steve
Let us also pray for those we know of personally who are in need at this time.
Our Bible Reading is taken from Acts 2:1-18 & 37-39
Read by Jean.

Father God, thank You that we can come into Your presence through the precious blood of Jesus knowing we will find grace and mercy. We come to bow before You in worship and to honour You with our lives. We come to lay ourselves before You today and ask for You to move by the power of Your Holy Spirit. We want more of You, Lord, so we must give You more of ourselves. Come and have Your way in us - set us apart for You .
Prayer: Holy Spirit - You see our hearts and you know where we stand and where we need to be. Lord, speak to us through Your Word and draw us closer. We wait in expectation to be touched and changed by the power of Your Spirit. Amen
