Welcome to Virtual Church

Kenton Baptist Church

Sunday 27th September

Psalm 92 v 2 declares 'It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night.'

Psalm 36 v 5 & 7 says of God 'Your love, LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.'

Today we come to praise our amazing God knowing that He loves us with a priceless, unconditional never-ending love and that He never gives up on us. We come to thank Him for His faithfulness to us because even though we sin, He has made a way for us to forgiven through the cross of Jesus so that we can once again come close and be safe in the shadow of His wings. God loves us so much that He gave His only Son so that we will not perish, but have everlasting life.

Father God, we lift up Your name as we give thanks for Your love and faithfulness to us.

 Famous One

Today we celebrate Harvest. In 1 Chronicles 29 when people were bringing their offerings for the building of the Temple, David praises God for His greatness, majesty and splendour and then goes on to say that everything we have is given to us from God...we are only giving back to Him. God provides for us physically, emotionally and spiritually. Our aim should be to share the blessings God has given us with others for His glory in our everyday lives. We are blessed to be a blessing!

We are celebrating God's goodness to us this year and our Harvest Offering (to be matched by the church) will be split between Firm Foundation, a local Christian charity that helps the homeless and Operation Agri’s special Harvest appeal for Tanzania 'Time for Trees.'

Firm Foundation is a local Christian charity working providing drop-in centres, night shelters and accommodation for the homeless and vulnerable.
