Call to Worship
Welcome to Virtual Church
Sunday 26th April
While we are unable to meet together physically, we hope you will be encouraged to draw close to God through the message, readings and songs on this page and to join us in worshipping our God.
Kenton Baptist Church
We are the church!
We are the church! We may be in lockdown, but God is in control...we may be scattered, but we are united in the Spirit. United in our hunger for more of God and in our desire to see God move mightily in our land. United to praise the name of JESUS, the name above all names! United in our desire to be built into a people who bring glory to His name.
Build Your Kingdom here, Lord!
The songs in the videos below declare the saving and transforming power of God. He is the One who can give us a new start, give us strength for each day and take away our fears when we trust Him. There is no-one like our God - no name higher, no-one stronger and no-one more worthy of our praise, adoration and worship.
Let's give God all the glory and lift our hands in praise to Jesus, the King of Kings.
Intercessory Prayers led by Liz.
Let us also pray for those we know of personally who are in need at this time.
Our Bible Readings are taken from Nehemiah 4 v1-4a, v10 & v 19
and 1 Peter 2 v1 & 4-7.
Read by Sheila.
Lord Jesus, we draw close to You now - We still our hearts to know that You are God. We choose to fix our eyes on You: our Hope, our Peace, our Firm Foundation and our Cornerstone - the One who has won our freedom for us. We are forever grateful for Your mercy and forgiveness. One day in your presence is truly better than a thousand elsewhere.
Lord we bow before You in adoration - You are All to us.
Don't miss the last verse to this - (after the applause!)
Prayer : Thankyou, Lord that You know us and care so much for each one of us. Thankyou that You know us better than we know ourselves. Thankyou that You speak through Your Word to teach, encourage, correct us and build us up. May what we hear today fall on good ground and bear fruit in our lives. May we hear what You are saying to us as individuals and as a church so that we will grow in You and bring glory to Your name. Amen.
