Welcome to Virtual Church

Kenton Baptist Church

Sunday 20th June

It's great to know that we can belong to the family of God - not by working to get there or earning our way by good works, but simply by trusting Jesus to deal with our sins, our guilt and our shame. In the Bible, 1 John 1:9 says that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness - and then again in John 1:12 that if we receive Jesus and believe in His name, we have the right to become children of God.

If we are God's children, then He is our perfect Father - the One who knows us better than we know ourselves, the One who wants to nurture us, protect us, guide us and sometimes lovingly discipline us. He will never abuse us or ill-treat us because He is compassionate and loves us beyond measure. Today we focus on knowing Him more day by day.

Father, we continue to worship You now, realising more and more that although You are Almighty God, You have also chosen to bless us as a Father blesses His children and that you continue to sing Your songs of love, deliverance, freedom, forgiveness, healing and restoration over us.

Father, we love You, we worship and adore You - we honour You and bless You today.
