Welcome to Virtual Church
Sunday 20th December

Kenton Baptist Church
In John 3:16 we read, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." Jesus is the Messiah and the Saviour of the World, given by God to free us from the effects of our sin so that we can be forgiven and free from shame in God's presence.
Even though everything around us is uncertain, God remains the same and His message of love to us in Jesus is unchanging. We can come as we are and experience the peace and security that simply trusting in Jesus brings. We don't deserve God's love, we can't earn it, but it is freely given.
Let's join in praise and thanks to God now for the gift of His Son Jesus. This is why we celebrate! This is what Christmas is all about! How good it is to be loved by God and to be called His child!

Let us also pray for those we know of personally who are in need at this time.

Our Bible Reading is taken from
1 John 4 v 7 - 21
and is read by Lesley

Father God, thank you for reaching down to us when we were unable to reach up to You.
Lord Jesus, thank you for coming as Saviour to a world that needs You so much. Thank you for taking the punishment that was ours so that we can be forgiven.
We come to worship You in Spirit and truth, to bring our adoration and praise and to honour You as our Saviour and King of Kings. Be Lord of or lives today. Amen.
