Welcome to Virtual Church

 Kenton Baptist Church

Sunday 1st November

Anniversary Week-End

Psalm 100 v 3 challenges us to know that the LORD is God and v 5 says that He 'is good and His love endures for ever.' This is God's character! Again, in Psalm 86 v 5 the Bible tells us that He is good, forgives us and is overflowing with kindness to all those who call on Him.

God's plans for us are good - plans to give us a hope and a future. Scripture tells us that anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame and that everyone who calls on the name of the Jesus will be saved. (From Romans chapter 10)

So today let's come with thankful hearts as we come to praise and worship the God of our salvation. Let's thank Him for His love and faithfulness to us, let's lift high the name of Jesus our Saviour and bless Him - because God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

(Romans 5 v 8) and now we can truly belong to Him.

Psalm 34Clifton
00:00 / 03:31

Father God, Thankyou for sending Your only Son to pay the price for OUR sin. Thankyou that because of Your goodness and mercy our sin-debt has been totally paid by Jesus and we have been truly set free.

Lord Jesus, we come to give You all the glory and all the honour and to lay our lives down before You in worship this morning. Thank You for loving us just as we are; may we truly engage with You this morning. Holy Spirit, we welcome You - come and take control - do Your work in us and may there be a real sense of Your presence right here with us as we worship.

Prayer: Lord, we pray that Your Holy Spirit will move amongst us as we listen to Your Word. You know our hearts and where we stand before You right now and where You want us to be. Please speak to us through Your Word, minister to us and draw us closer. We wait in expectation to be touched and changed by the power of Your Spirit. Amen.
