Welcome to Virtual Church
Kenton Baptist Church
Sunday 16th August

Let's praise God today that we are His people - the Bible says that all who receive Him (Jesus) and believe in His name are given the right to become spiritual children of God and belong to His family. (John 1 v 12) Let's cast aside everything else that is crowding our minds and focus on the One who loves us and gave His life for us. Have Your way in us today, Lord Jesus!
Hands to the heavens
This is amazing grace
I will bless the Lord
Father God, we give You praise and thanks for all Your blessings on our lives. Thank-you that You have set our feet upon a rock and we have a firm foundation when we believe in Your Son. Our hope of heaven and eternal life is secured by the sacrificial Blood of Jesus - He is the anchor of our souls and we are safe in Him. Hallelujah!

Intercessory Prayers
led by Barbara.
Let us also pray for those we know of personally who are in need at this time.
Our Bible Readings are taken from Ezra 1 v 1-5 and
Mark 5 v 24b - 34
and are read by Mark.

Jeremiah 29 v 11 says "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Thank-you, Lord Jesus that our hope is in You alone. You are our living hope - you have saved us and delivered us and by God's mercy we stand forgiven, knowing that the Blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. We draw close to You, our mighty Saviour and Redeemer - the One who is forever faithful and true. We worship You alone.
Faithful One, so unchanging

Prayer: Thank-you, Lord, that Your Word is powerful and brings life to us. Speak Your Word into our hearts. May we be receptive to all You have to say to us and may we grow in our walk with You. Amen.

Response song:
Communion
For this part of the service, we invite you to have bread and wine ready to take part in this act of remembrance. We come to the foot of the cross again for mercy, cleansing and forgiveness and to surrender our lives once more to the King of Kings.
Lord, may we take in and respond the truth of these words.
