Welcome to Virtual Church

Kenton Baptist Church

Sunday 12th July

How great is our God! No matter how we feel, He doesn't change - He is greater, stronger and higher than any other - He will never fail and has never lost a battle! We are held securely in His hands when we give our lives to Him.

Jesus has won the victory for us on the Cross of Calvary - the power of sin is broken over our lives and we are set free. We can choose to declare these truths over our feelings and circumstances whenever we feel sorrowful, concerned, fearful or discouraged because the Bible tells us that God loves us and He wants to draw us close. Jesus is the Light of the World and has promised that whoever follows Him will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life. (John 8v12)

We declare these truths in our praise songs today.

Key Verse

Lord, now we come to bow down in worship in Your presence. Thankyou for humbling Yourself to death on a cross so we can live. Thankyou that Your obedience means You have been exalted to the highest place and You have been given the name above every other name - at Your name every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that You are Lord to the glory of God the Father. How majestic is your name! We come to honour the One who is our Lord, our Saviour, our strength and our shield. Hallelujah! Our God reigns - forever we will worship You.

Prayer: Lord we pray that as we listen to Your Word today, that it will fall on good ground. Don't let it be smothered, ignored or stolen from us, but let it be watered by Your Holy Spirit and bear fruit in our lives for Your glory and honour. Come Holy Spirit and prepare our hearts to receive what You want to say to us today.

Pastor Steve's Message.

2 Corinthians

4 v 1 - 6

Response song:

 Turn your eyes upon Jesus

Like many Christians we long to reopen our premises and get back to holding regular worship services. However, at present our services will remain online.

We are looking at active and sensible ways to re-open when we are confident that all stringent precautions can and have been taken to keep KBC a Covid-19 safe place for us all to worship together.

For now let us continue to encourage one another, even as we are doing (1 Thessalonians 5:11) and look forward to reopening our services later in the year.
