Welcome to Virtual Church
Kenton Baptist Church
Sunday 11th October
In Luke 19, the Bible tells us the story of Zacchaeus - somebody whose life was dramatically changed by Jesus - and we are told that Jesus came to seek and save the lost. He is still reaching out to all those who don't yet know Him and He is still changing lives today. He never gives up no matter how we feel or what we have done because He cares so much for us and His desire is that we should all experience His love and saving grace.
Romans 5 v 8 tells us that "God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." This is amazing grace! Even when we really deserve God's wrath because of our sin, God sent Jesus so that all who trust in Him shall be saved and have eternal life.
Holy Spirit, we wait in expectation for You to move in our midst this morning. We are coming to thank the God of our salvation for His loving kindness to us and to exalt the name of Jesus. We come to praise our Lord and Saviour and to give Him all the glory for who He is and what He has done. As we worship this morning, let's surrender our lives afresh to Jesus, the One who loves us and gave His life for us.

Intercessory Prayer
led by Pam.
Let us also pray for those we know of personally who are in need at this time.

Our Bible Reading is taken from John 11 and is read by Barbara and Antony.
Father God, we come into Your presence through the precious blood of Jesus to worship You in spirit and truth - to honour You and to bow before You, our awesome God. Father, as we come to You in worship, let Your Holy Spirit fall upon us and change us. Soften our hearts so that we become more responsive to You. Amen.
Prayer: Father please speak to us today. We pray that Your Word will minister to us as we surrender to You. Lord, we come with hearts ready to receive what You say to us - grow us in faith today and open our hearts to your plans and purposes for us. Amen.
