Welcome to Kenton Baptist Church!
KBC is a safe place to explore your faith and discover God’s love. We are a group of Bible believing Christians who meet together to worship God and serve our community. Jesus Christ has shown us how much God loves us.

Our desire is to know God more and to help everyone discover how amazing He is!

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever." Hebrews 13.8   The Bible

All around us things are changing but Jesus remains the same - still the One who chose to give His life for us to show us God's love and still the only One who can bring us into God's family where we find full acceptance.

At KBC we proclaim Jesus as Saviour, Redeemer, Healer, Lord and Coming King.

Jesus is the Light of the World
The Bible tells us that without God in our lives, we are 'in darkness' and unable to live the life He wants us to live: a life of hope and fulfilment.

Jesus came to bring us out of that darkness - to bring us forgiveness, hope and freedom.

Jesus came to be our Light, to deal with our sin, our failures and our disappointments.

This freedom that God offers us through Jesus is that of having a clear conscience before God, to know that our sins have been forgiven and that we have received the gift of eternal life.

This comes when we ask Jesus to be our Saviour and trust Him to deal with our sin.

He brings us into this freedom which can't be touched, stolen or taken away by others.

Although it cost Jesus everything, it is not something that we can ever earn through good works - it is given to us freely.

"I had some knowledge of Jesus, but I didn’t recognise Him as the One True God – just as one ‘god’ among many.

I realised that the ONLY way to God was through JESUS – because only Jesus could bring me the forgiveness that I needed."

"I came to realise that God loves me like a Father and He is the only one I can fully trust. He loves me unconditionally and had sent Jesus to deal with the emptiness and sin in my life. I realised Jesus is the only one who can do this."

"I’ve known Jesus Christ as a reality in my life for over 50 years.  He has shaped my life – and me. He has been a faithful companion through all life’s circumstances.  I am so thankful for Jesus."

God's plans for us are centred in Jesus.
The Bible tells us that we have all sinned and that our sins separate us from God, so that we cannot enjoy a relationship with Him here or in eternity.

God sent His Son Jesus to die for us, taking our sins upon Himself, so that we can be free.

"If the Son sets you free, you are truly free."

John 8.36  The Bible  (NLT)

The freedom that God offers us through Jesus is that of having a clear conscience before God, knowing that our sins have been forgiven and that we have received the gift of eternal life.

This comes when we ask Jesus to be our Saviour and trust Him to deal with our sin. He brings us into this freedom which can't be taken away by others. Although it cost Jesus everything, it is not something we can ever earn through good works - it is given to us freely.
