Welcome to Kenton Baptist Church!
KBC is a safe place to explore your faith and discover God’s love. We are a group of Bible believing Christians who meet together to worship God and serve our community. Jesus Christ has shown us how much God loves us -
Our desire is to know God more and to help everyone discover how amazing He is!
When we truly acknowledge that God is ultimately in control, this can bring us into a freedom that we have never known before. He knows us, He understands us and wants what is best for us. His love never fails.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3.16.)
Jesus is the One who chose to give His Life to show us God's love, and He is still the only One who can bring us into God's family and free us from our sins when we put our trust in Him. At KBC we proclaim Jesus as Saviour, Healer, Redeemer, Lord and Coming King.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD - "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29 v 11 The Bible
Jesus said: "Who do YOU say I am?
When Jesus was on the earth, He made statements including
"I am the Bread of Life",
"I am the Light of the World" and
"I am the Way, the Truth and The Life."
But He also asked those around Him
"Who do YOU say I am?"
This is a personal question - and an important one for us all. What would your answer be? It's a challenge... is He JUST a prophet?
A great teacher? A revolutionary? Delusional?
Who is Jesus to you?
The answer recorded in the Bible is:
"You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God."
(Matthew 16.16)
Th Bible says Jesus owns the Name that is above all other names - the Name to which every knee shall bow and confess His Lordship. Jesus is the only name by which we can be saved from our sins and be assured of a place in heaven when we put our trust in Him.
"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
